Portfolio

The portfolio page is the main page of the app where you can manage and monitor your open stock positions.

You can use the tabs in the menu bar to switch between different views onto your stocks.

Each view provides a compact summary of a certain aspect of the stock position.

Following views are currently available:

  • Cashflow View: This view summarizes information about a stock’s dividend cashflow.
  • Value Gain View: The value gain view depicts information regarding the position’s value appreciation.

App Bar

Below the app bar you can find the tabs for switching between the viewes.

The currently active tab is highlighted.

Sort Orders

In the app bar you can select between following sort orders:

  • Company Name: Sorts your stocks alphabetically by their names.
  • Ticker Symbol: Sorts your stocks alphabetically by their symbols.
  • 52 Week (min, max): Sorts your stocks by their 52 Weeks high/low. Stocks at their 52 weeks minimum might be buying opportunities.
  • Yield on Cost: Sorts your stocks according to their yield on cost.
  • Market Value: Sorts your stocks according to their current market value (absolute value in currency).
  • Market Yield: Sorts your stocks according to their current market yield. This might help you to identify buying opportunities.
  • Latest Buy-Date: Sorts your stocks according to their latest buy-transactions. This can help you to identify stocks that you haven’t bought for some time.

Cashflow View

Following image depicts a stock position in the cashflow view:

  • Ticker and Name: The stock’s symbol in brackets followed by the company name.
  • Dividend Clock: The dividend clock shows a countdown until the next upcoming pay- and ex-day.
  • Mkt. Yield: The current start dividend yield if you would buy shares right now.
  • Options: Each stock card has a number of options (see below).
  • View Position: You can open a detailed view of you stock position by tapping this icon.

The main compartment values:

  • Cash Flow: Current dividend cashflow per year considering your current number of shares and the latest dividend per share.
  • YOC: The current Yield on Costs (YOC) for this stock position.
  • Avg. Start Yield: The average start yield of all your transactions of this stock. This is a very powerful value. Please read the documentation for details.

Value Gain View

The value gain view summarizes important date of your stock position related to the share price.

  • 52W High/Low: Shows the current share price in relation to the share price range during the previous 52 weeks.
  • Market Price per Share: Current price per share at the stock exchange.
  • Options: Each stock card has a number of options (see below).
  • View Position: You can open a detailed view of you stock position by tapping this icon.

The main compartment values:

  • Value Gain: The unrealized value appreciation of this stock position in currency.
  • Value Gain (%): The unrealized value appreciation of this stock position in percentage.
  • Avg. Share Price: The average share price of all transactions of this stock position.

Card Options

The options for the stock cards are the same for all views.

Following operations are available:

  • Transactions… : Opens the details view for this stock position.
  • Add to Shopping List: This option creates a shopping list entry for the selected stock.
  • Split Shares: The 22 Dividends app automatically recognizes upcoming share splits and notifies you. If this does not happen or you dismissed the dialog you can apply the share split manually using this menu.
  • Delete: Delete all transactions belonging to this open position. The confirmation dialog list all affected transactions. This does not delete transactions of possible closed positions of the same stock. This can be done in the transaction browser.
